Ricardo Vieira de Mello is a senior partner at the firm and heads the São Paulo office.
Ricardo served as vice-president of ABPI - Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property in the bienniums 2000/2001 and 2002/2003, and is a Lifetime Honorary Member of its Board of Directors. He was also President of ABAPI - Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents in the biennium 2000/2001, and currently, is an Honorary Counselor and Director of Institutional Relations of the association. He was vice-president of ASPI (São Paulo Association of Intellectual Property), and currently is a member of its Fiscal and Advisory Board. Joana de Mattos Siqueira is a partner and a member of the firm’s Trademarks team. With more than 20 years of experience practicing Intellectual Property law, her work encompasses all aspects of trademark protection before the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI), including prosecution, oppositions, and other administrative proceedings. She also provides strategic advice on complex trademark matters, with a focus on risk mitigation and, whenever possible, avoiding litigation.
Joana is responsible for managing trademark portfolios for major international companies and is actively involved in leading global IP organizations such as INTA, ASIPI, and ECTA. She currently serves on INTA’s Leadership Committee and Nominating Committee, is an INTA Ambassador, and is a former Board Member of the INTA Foundation.
