Phase II of the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) program has been announced by BPTO. It came into force on January 1st and will accept up to 600 applications

Phase II of the PPH program (Ordinance #404/2020) has been anticipated by the BRPTO. Among the main changes compared to phase I, phase II will accept up to 600 applications per year, instead of just 400.

A fase II do Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH), publicada na Revista da Propriedade Industrial (RPI) nº 2608, entrou em vigor em 1º de janeiro de 2021. Entre as principais diferenças em relação à fase I, a fase II terá um limite de 600 requerimentos por ano, ao invés de apenas 400.
